Implanted in the greens is the red that stands the test of contrast. Glorious in its presence, it puts the distinction of purity against the jealousy of green. Ruby of the cheek, color of love - how could you be named, and yet not fade the memory of your stark beauty. Standing tall amongst the fraternity of pale peers, bringing fire with a rose. Gifted by the gods with blood, flowing with energy infinite, and with the force of life.

The luscious red is beautiful, but would it appear as beautiful if not contrasted with the pale pears? Blessed are the pale green pears, the selfless unsung heros, who are content with making others look more beautiful and helping others succeed...
The pressure of performance is always on the red, never on the green. The green is perennial, the reds come and go. Havent you seen a rose plant ? Rising above the rest is so much more with the eye with which they are seen. Remember people who call themselves "terrorists" are "heroes" in their own commune.
The rose is beautiful, but would it come into existence if the green leaves were not there to nourish the rose? Even thorn...the ugly annoying thorn... played a role by protecting the rose. In today's world of performance pressure and drive to be the best we forget about all those who contribute to the success of the one on the top. Some choose to be THE most successful one, others choose to help others succeed. The greens can exist without the red but the red needs the greens. Even the red rose started as a green bud.
